2018 Review

2018 Year in Review...

Hey Friends! J & V here! It is hard to believe that we are wrapping up the year already! 2018 has flown by! It has been our best year yet! Our word for this year was “Flourish” and we certainly have done just that. We are constantly expanding our seating in the shop inside and out, as well as growing our relationships with the community. We welcomed two new team members to our family this year: Allan and Eric! We cannot imagine life without them! Finding a staff of people who genuinely enjoy coming to work and spending time together after work is priceless! We feel like 2018 has been the year for us to fully become who we have always dreamed of becoming! Because of you, Friend, we are thriving!

Our shop has been full of love and laughter all year long! We have experienced everything from blind dates, anniversaries, birthday parties, fundraisers, holiday parties, a literary festival, painting nights where we partnered with other local small businesses, local school outreaches, reunions, corporate events, trivia nights, themed events, etc! We expanded our catering line and had so much fun entertaining guests of all ages at their events! So many different people have walked through our doors this year. We believe that every single person has a story and we have truly treasured getting to know so many of them this year.

2018 was also a year full of adventure! J&V flew across the country to Los Angeles for CoffeeFest, met some celebrities, and made some time to tour the coffee shops near DisneyLand! We also toured some amazing shops across Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.

Our menu has also grown by leaps and bounds this year! We enjoy creating new and interesting works of art in each cup! We only offer Fair Trade USDA organic coffee bean that are never frozen, freshly roasted, and ground each day. We have over 1.1 million different drink options for you all to choose from. While we are proud of our menu items, we want all of you to know that to us you are more than just a cup of coffee; you are our friend with a purpose. Our world is truly better with you in it!

This year we hit a lot of milestones! We celebrated our two year anniversary on August 1st! We won “Best of the Best Coffeeshop” for the second year in a row! We hosted the second annual Indy Book Fest in Middle Georgia this summer. Special thanks to the The Telegraph & macon.com, Houston Home Journal, Fox 41, 13 WMAZ, The Creek 100.9 FM for always covering our many events and growth. We have met so many wonderful people this year!

This year we continued the outreach of It Takes A Village, a non-profit organization that helps meet needs in our community and create connections with those who strive to make a difference. Our projects this year included Toys for Tots, a book donation drive, hurricane relief efforts, a canned food drive, and a coat drive for local elementary schools. We believe in the Mother Teresa quote “we belong to each other” and we are privileged to be the boots on the ground for projects such as this. We look forward to sharing our new projects for 2019 with all of you soon!

Our word for the coming year is “Connect.” We have set high goals both personally and professionally for 2019 and we look forward to meeting them with all of you! Here’s to many more years full of coffee beans, cinnamon rolls, scones, favorite authors, laughter, and love.

Thank you for being our Friend,

Jaimie, Victoria, Wesley, Allan, Eric, V2, & Koy
